About Sophia
Hi, I'm Sophia, a Pilates Instructor based in Busselton and the founder of South Pilates.
As a former dancer, it felt natural to continue working in movement and exercise. I began teaching Barre in 2021 and quickly discovered how much I enjoyed helping people move and feel better in their bodies.
This led me to explore Pilates, completing my initial Mat and Reformer training with Barre Body. Wanting a deeper understanding of the body, movement and rehabilitation, I went on to complete further Mat and Reformer Pilates training and a Diploma of Clinical Pilates through Breathe Education.
I had already completed my Certificate III in Fitness years earlier, and I continue to invest in professional development, anatomy education and evidence-based learning to ensure I provide safe, effective and up-to-date exercise instruction.
My qualifications include:

• Reformer Pilates Instructor

• Certificate III in Fitness
I genuinely love learning about movement and the human body, and that passion comes through in the way I teach. I believe in creating a welcoming, supportive environment where people feel comfortable to move, build confidence and improve their quality of life.
Having experienced my own journey with chronic pain, I understand how important movement can be in helping the body move and feel better. Pilates has played a significant role in my own wellbeing, which is one of the reasons I am so passionate about helping others.
My classes are designed for real people with real lives, focusing on strength, mobility, balance and movement that supports everyday activities. Whether you're attending a Mat Pilates class or joining me for a Private or Duo Reformer session, my goal is to help you move better, feel stronger and enjoy life with greater confidence.
When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me enjoying the beautiful South West with my family, whether that's walking, spending time at the beach or appreciating the lifestyle that inspired the name South Pilates.
